Alberta Morell Corbitt Obituary (1931 - 2010)

Mrs. Alberta Morell Corbitt, 79, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 7:15 P.M., Friday, May 7, 2010 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ She was born March 16, 1931 in Trenton, NJ to the late George Jones and Thelma Dyott Corbitt. \ Mrs. Corbitt was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville. \ She enjoyed family and friends as well as charity work in her earlier years. \ She is survived by her husband, Dolphus Bill Corbitt of Madisonville; one son, Alan (Barbara) Corbitt of Madisonville; one sister, Mary Walker of Georgia; one granddaughter, Frances (Jason) Perdue of Madisonville; two grandsons, Jason Corbitt of Madisonville and DeWayne (Alicia) Corbitt of Hopkinsville and five great grandchildren, McKenzie Macy Corbitt of Calvert City, KY; Kevin Corbitt of Morganfield, KY; Jonathan Corbitt of Hopkinsville; Antonio Perdue of Madisonville and Justice Corbitt of Madisonville. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Gaddis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Alan Corbitt, Jason Corbitt, Jason Perdue and Frances Perdue. Honorary pallbearers will be Justice Corbitt, Antonio Perdue, Kevin Corbitt, John Corbitt and DeWayne Corbitt. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
