Allen \Jack\" Foster" Ashby Obituary (1933 - 2009)

Mr. Allen Jack Foster Ashby, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 1:58 P.M., Monday, November 16, 2009 at University of Louisville Hospital. \ He was born November 27, 1933 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late William Iley and Esther Lee Todd Ashby. \ Mr. Ashby was retired from KU after 47 years where he worked as a right of way agent. \ He is survived by his wife, Joann Barnwell of Madisonville; two daughters, Polly (Steve) Eakins of Madisonville and Patti Ashby of Brentwood, TN; one son, Kenneth (Deborah) Ashby of Madisonville; two sisters, Doris Boyce and Joyce Allen both of Nashville, TN and six grandchildren. \ Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Kline officiating. Burial will follow in Nebo Cemetery in Nebo, KY. \ Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. \ Donations may be made to the West Kentucky Veterans Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
