Anderson Lee Utley Obituary (1921 - 2007)

Mr. Anderson Lee Utley, 85 of Madisonville, KY died at 11:25 P.M. Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born July 25, 1921 in Omaha, Illinois he was the son of the late Robert Lee Utley and Mary Eva Downing Utley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Allison Utley in 1998, one granddaughter and one sister. \ He was a retired dragline operator for Venture Coal Company and a U.M.W.A. member. He was a member of the Madisonville First Baptist Church. \ He is survived by two daughters, Jan McDaniels of Louisville, KY and Pam Matney of Dawson Springs, KY; one son, Steven L. Utley of Clarksville, TN; one sister, Ruth Safar of Columbus, GA; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the service at the funeral home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the National Alzheimers Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
