Avis Jean Herron Obituary (1940 - 2012)

\ Avis Jean Herron, 71, of Manitou, KY, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at her home surrounded by family and friends. \ \ She was born in Anton, KY to the late Herbert and Sarah Ashby Mullinex. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Walter Herron and two sisters. \ \ Mrs. Herron was owner of U-Lock-It Mini Storage and of the Baptist Faith. \ \ She is survived by one daughter, Michelle (Mark) Davis of Thomaston, GA; four sons, Donald J. (Dorothy) Herron of Nortonville, KY, David D. Herron of Helena, MT, Richard (Deanna) Herron and Matthew (Camilla) Herron both of Manitou; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. \ \ Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Slaughters Cemetery with David Herron officiating. \ \ In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to St. Judes (501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) or to a charity of your choice. \ \
