Bettye P. Leasure Obituary (1923 - 2005)

Mrs. Bettye P. Leasure, 81, of Madisonville, KY died at 6:35 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born December 7, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio she was the daughter of the late William Decola Pettus and Gladys Webb Pettus. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brooks Leasure Sr. on March 24, 1963. \ She was a former school teacher and a retired Deputy of the Hopkins Co. Circuit Court Clerk. She was a member of the Madisonville First Christian Church and a member of the Hopkins County Genealogical Society and the D.A.R. \ She is survived by one daughter; Ellen Nicholas of Roswell, GA; two sons, Harold Brooks Leasure Jr. of Madisonville and Bruce Leasure of Little Rock, Arkansas and five grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Don McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Friends may call from on Friday from 4:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday after 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Madisonville First Christian Church.
