Mr. Birch Pistol Hoot, 56, of Hanson, KY died at 5:40 P.M. Monday, May 28, 2007 in Hanson,KY. \ Born June 10, 1950 in Orange County, California he was the son of the late Dr. Paul Monroe Hoot. \ He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a US Army veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 5480 and the American Legion Post # 6. \ He is survived by his wife, Anna Jeannie Hoot of Hanson; two daughters, Codie Anne Hoot and Colten Sophia Hoot, both of Hanson and his mother, Evelyn Petering Hoot of Madisonville. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Tondra Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in the Grapevine Cemetery with graveside Military Rites performed by the V.F.W. Post #5480, American Legion Post #6. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the services. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Western Kentucky Veterans Center Activities Program.
