Bll Tweddell Obituary (1930 - 2011)

Bill Tweddell, 81, died September 7, 2011 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born April 10, 1930 in Madisonville to Hardin R. and Buelah Zachary Tweddell. Bill graduated from Madisonville North High and has received and Bachelors in Science and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Evansville. Bill also served in the US. Army during the Korean War, worked at several National City Banks and for Mead Johnson in Evansville, IN., Bill returned to Madisonville in 1976 and was executive vice president at Peoples Bank and later worked for the FDIC until retiring in 1998. Bill was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks Lodge, and the First Christian Church in Madisonville. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eva Lambert Tweddell of Madisonville; son Russ (Pam) Tweddell of San Antonio, TX; two sisters-in-law Frances Parrish of Dixon and Marie Vaughn of Clay. Memorial Services will be held at First Christian Church Sunday September 11, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. Rev. Don McLaughlin will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date and the family wishes that no flowers be sent however, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church; 1030 College Drive, Madisonville, KY 42431, envelopes will be available at the church. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday.
