Carroll L. Utley Obituary (1938 - 2005)

Mr. Carroll L. Utley, 67, of Madisonville, KY died at 12:15 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. \ Born May 25, 1938 in Hopkins County, KY he was the son of the late Herschel Wilburn Utley and Estella Herron Utley. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, April Hiller in April 2002 and one brother, Gerald Utley in Nov. 2004. \ He retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service and was a very active member of the Second Baptist Church. He was a Sunday School teacher and was very involved in the World Changers. He was a former Building Instructor at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, MO and the former Emergency Management Director for Pettis CO, MO. He was also a former member of the Optimist Club in Sedalia and a member and Past Master of the Sedalia Masonic Lodge. \ He is survived by his wife, Noi Schwanke-Utley of Madisonville; two daughters, Lisa Rhodes of Ft. Worth, TX and Linda Rieckoff of Sedalia, MO; one son, Keith Utley of St. Louis, MO; one stepson, Norbert Schwanke Jr. of Columbia , SC; two sisters, Dorothy Jean Hill of Providence, KY and Mary Lou Ramsey of Nashville, TN and fifteen grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 3, 2005 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Roy D. Finley and Rev. Keith Utley officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Cemetery with Military Graveside rites. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hill, Carroll Elkins, Billy Tapp, Elvis Staples, Dearl Bryant, Johnny Boswell and Michael Rhodes. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday and on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the services at the funeral home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Second Baptist Church.
