Charles C. Pennington Sr. Obituary (1940 - 2009)

Mr. Charles C. Pennington, Sr., 69, of Hanson, KY passed away at 12:40 A.M., Monday, September 14, 2009 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ He was born January 23, 1940 in Clay Co., KY to the late Wilson Pennington and Edith Hensley Pennington. He was also preceded in death by one sister. \ Mr. Pennington retired from management at GE Aircraft Engines after 33 years of service. He was also a member of Covenant Community Church in Madisonville. \ He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Georgia Adams Pennington of Hanson; one daughter, Chrystal (Jeff) Adcock of Nebo, KY; one son, Charles Chuck Pennington, Jr. of Hanson; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexandra Adcock of Nebo; four sisters, Virginia, Rosalie, Jane and Annie; two brothers, Dallas Donley and Wilson, Jr. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 18, 2009 at Covenant Community Church in Madisonville with Dr. Michael Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and after Noon on Friday, September 18, 2009 at Covenant Community Church. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Covenant Care Food Pantry or The Door of Hope. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
