Christopher Jewel Emerson Obituary (1979 - 2008)

Mr. Christopher Jewel Emerson, 29, of White Plains, KY, died at 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital in Evansville, IN. \ He was born March 30, 1979 in Madisonville, KY to the late Jesse Herbert Emerson and Shirley Underwood Watson of White Plains. \ He is preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Roscoe and Sarah Underwood and Elbert and Betty Emerson. \ He was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church in White Plains. He was a journeyman and carpenter. \ He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Shirley Watson of White Plains; his wife, Venus April Emerson of White Plains; two daughters, Sarah Elexis Emerson of Central City, KY and Brooklyn Paige Emerson of White Plains; four sons, Blake Moxley of Clay, KY, Christopher Jewel Emerson, II of White Plains, Christian Tyler Villines of White Plains, Gabriel Matthew May of White Plains; his grandparents, Billy and Betty Watson of Madisonville and Ray and Margarette Langland of Sumter, SC; one sister, Brittany Watson of White Plains; and one brother, Joseph Emerson of White Plains. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Ellis Payne and Bro. Wally Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Suthards Cemetery in Earlington, KY. \ Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 9:00 A.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Jason Crawford, John Payne, Clay Earl, Daniel Scott, Shane Caraway, Ricky Moore, Danny Edmonds and Ricky Level. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Christopher Jewel Emerson Memorial Fund c/o First United Bank, 162 North Main Street, Madisonville KY 42431, Attn: Teresa Wint. \
