Clida "Dean" Miller Agent Obituary (1936 - 2023)

Clida "Dean" Miller Agent, 87, of Madisonville, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home. She was born on January 9, 1936 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Joe Clark and Ona Dabbs Clark. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ben Miller; second husband, Tom Agent; brother, Jay Clark; and grandson, Aaron Hollis. Dean had worked as a manager at Carhartt. You could often find her at the bowling alley or dancing. She also enjoyed spending time watching the kids play sports and playing cards. She is survived by her daughter, Rene Hollis of Manitou; sisters, Rebecca Clark of Madisonville, Betty Clark of Madisonville, and Georgia Howard of Ashbyburg; brother, James Clark of Colorado Springs, CO; sister-in-law, Bettye Clark of Hanson; grandson, Shawn (Jenny) Hollis of Henderson, KY; great grandchildren, Caleb, Evan, Maggie, and Warner Hollis and Oslo and Sidney Gilmore. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday September 24, 2023 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Marshall Clark officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the service time Sunday at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearer will be Aaron Hollis. Memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Senior Citizens Center at 200 N. Main St, Madisonville KY 42431. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
