Clyda Jones Burden Obituary (1942 - 2011)

Clyda Jones Burden, 68, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 6:30 A.M., Saturday, March 12, 2011, at her residence. \ She was born November 6, 1942, in Webster Co., KY to the late Raymond O. Jones, Sr. and Mary Gladys Read Jones. \ Mrs. Burden was a supervisor at Western Kentucky Hospital Service. She attended Pond River Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. \ She is survived by her husband, James Burden of Madisonville; one daughter, Terri Pendergraff of Nebo, KY; one son, Shane Graham of Nashville, TN; two stepdaughters, Jamie Burden and Lindsay Hunter both of Madisonville; two stepsons, Matthew Burden of Newburgh, IN and Westley Burden of Memphis, TN; one sister, Linda (Roger) Breedlove of Manitou, KY; one brother, Raymond (Anne) Jones, Jr. of Madisonville; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Doss officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, KY. \ Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., on Monday and Noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. \ The family will serve as pallbearers. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
