Dalton J. Steffy Obituary (1931 - 2004)

Mr. Dalton J. Steffy, 72, of Hanson, KY, died at 12:45 P.M. Monday, May 10, 2004, at St. Marys Hospital in Evansville, IN. \ Born September 13, 1931 in Hopkins County, KY he was the son of the late Herschel T. Steffy and Maudie L. Griffin Steffy. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Roland Steffy, James Alton Steffy and Glenn Steffy. \ Mr. Steffy retired from Hopkins County Sanitation Department where he was a manager for the Convenience Center in Hanson, he was a truck driver for the Hopkins County Road Department. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #6 in Madisonville and of the Baptist faith. \ Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Drucella (Dru) S. Burrow of Evansville and Mrs. Nina S. Offutt of Madisonville; one brother, Herschel Steffy of Portland, OR and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 13, 2004 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Howard of Newburgh, IN officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson. \ Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 8:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Jon Steffy, Welbern Glenn Steffy, Robert E. Offutt, Richard Martin Steffy, Ray Michael Offutt, Herman Roy Steffy Carl Ray Brown and Kirby Crabtree. \
