Danny H. Woodward Obituary (1939 - 2004)

Mr. Danny H. Woodward, 64, of Nortonville, KY, died Saturday, January 17, 2004, at 1:01 P.M., at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born April 19, 1939 in Nortonville, he was the son of the late Noel L. Woodward and Ruth Martin Woodward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Noel D. Woodward, in 1980. \ Mr. Woodward was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and was Hopkins County Judge-Executive from 1994 until 1998. He was a member of the Nortonville Baptist Church, a member of the N. H. Shaw Masonic Lodge #608 in Nortonville, where he had been Past Master. Mr. Woodward was a Kentucky Colonel and was an U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Army National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. \ Mr. Woodward is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pat Polley Woodward of Nortonville; two daughters, Carol Woodward of Nortonville and Toni Dunville of Hopkinsville, KY; one son, Roger Woodward of Reno, NV; one brother, Lanny R. Woodward of Nortonville; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Woodward and Allyson Woodward; and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 20, 2004, at 11:00 A.M., at the Nortonville Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Reno officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville. \ Visitation will be Monday, January 19, 2004 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the service time at the Nortonville Baptist Church. \ Pallbearers will be Ross Woodward, Jody Richey, John Tow, Brandon Polley, Woody Woodward, Ricky Winstead, James Gilkey, and Louis Adams. \ Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in honor of Jeffrey Woodward.
