Denver \D.O.\"" Morgan Obituary (1930 - 2015)

\ Denver 'D.O.' Morgan, 84, of Madisonville, KY passed away, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville. \ \ Mr. Morgan was born on March 6, 1930, in Ilsley, KY to the late Okie Edward Morgan and Georgia Jeanon Ladd Morgan. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Morgan and sister-in-law, Ina B. Morgan. \ \ He was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church. He worked and retired as resident engineer from the Highway Department. He was also a registered land surveyor. \ \ Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife of 55 years, Madene Morgan, of Madisonville; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Philip McCoy; one son, Steven Weir; one granddaughter, Sarah McCoy; three sisters and brother-in-laws, Evelyn (Calvin) Walker, Ann (Jerry) Schisler, and Faye (Butch) Williams; along with several nieces and nephews. \ \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Morrison and Rev. Joe Christian officiating.. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. \ \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 10:00 A.M. until the service time Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ \ Pallbearers will be men of Grapevine Baptist Church. \ \ Memorial contributions may be made to the Grapevine Baptist Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
