Dorris Wayne Helton Obituary (1946 - 2023)

Dorris Wayne Helton, 77, of Slaughters, KY passed away, Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Henderson Deaconess Hospital in Henderson, KY He was born July 6, 1946 in Madisonville, KY to the late Dorris Helton and Katherine Virginia Miller Helton. Dorris loved to play golf and loved country music. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Helton of Slaughters; one daughter, Dana (Dustin) Shelton of Slaughters; two sisters, Darlene Liberto of FL, and Teletha Foster of Madisonville; one brother, Randy Helton of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Bradley Shelton and McKinley Shelton; and several nieces and nephews A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday December 7, 2023 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Chaplin Pat Dew officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the service time Thursday at the funeral home.
