Ella B. McGuyer Obituary (1910 - 2008)

Mrs. Ella B. McGuyer, 97, of Madisonville, KY, died Monday, February 4, 2008, at 12:30 P.M. at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville. \ She was born November 25, 1910 in Madisonville to the late Luther Helm Bailey and Maggie Langley Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde McGuyer, four sisters and two brothers. \ She worked for the W.P.A. in Madisonville and moved with the office when it went to Louisville in 1940. She then went to Cincinatti, OH then to Indianapolis, IN when she worked for the Department of the Navy during W.W.II. She moved to Phoenix, AZ at the end of the war and worked for the Veterans Administration. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Madisonville. \ Mrs. McGuyer is survived by a niece, Mary Ella White of Laytonsville, MD and two nephews Emerson Pete Hill and Richard Hill both of Madisonville. \ Graveside services will be Saturday, February 9, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be Friday, February 8, 2008, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \
