Erma Bigham Maddy Obituary (1918 - 2008)

Mrs. Erma Bigham Maddy, 89, of Madisonville, KY and formerly of Pinckneyville, IL and Macon, MO, died at 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the NHC Nursing Facility. \ She was born July 8, 1918 in Pinckneyville to the late Elihu and Ivan Bradley Bigham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Howard Maddy on March 11, 1998. \ She was a homemaker and a member of the Madisonville First United Methodist Church. \ She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Marlene and Mick Johnson of Jefferson City, MO and Linda and Monte Robinson of Madisonville; one brother, Lloyd Bigham of Macon, MO; one sister, Sue Hawkins of Pinckneyville; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville, KY. \ Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Pyatt Funeral Home in Pinckneyville, IL. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville. \ Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the services Friday at the Pyatt Funeral Home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the American Lung Association or the First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
