Freddy Eugene Martin Obituary (1952 - 2012)

\ Freddy Eugene Martin, 60, of Hanson, KY passed away on Thursday November 15, 2012 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. \ \ Mr. Martin was born October 14, 1952 in Louisville, KY to the late Leonard Martin and Betty Lucas Martin. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Martin. \ \ He liked to watch Nascar Races, loved to pitch washers, enjoyed camping, rabbit hunting and loved to spoil his grandkids. \ \ Mr. Martin was survived by his wife of 41 years Tommie Ann (Sandefur) Martin of Hanson; one son Freddy Martin, Jr. and his wife Karina of Hanson; one daughter, Sherry Martin of Clay, KY; four sisters, Mary (Doug) Nelson of Hanson; Carolyn Stobaugh of Dawson Springs, KY; Becky Nelson of Calhoun, KY and Lisa Cates of Hanson; three brothers, Leonard (Sue) Martin, Jr. of Hanson; Tony (Connie) Martin, White Plains, KY and Jerry (Mary Ann) Martin of Hanson; four grandchildren, Zachary; Anjela; Freddy III and Michael and several nieces and nephews. \ \ Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Boyd Nelson officiating with burial to follow in the Hanson Cemetery in Hanson. \ \ Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday November 18, 2012 and from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home. \ \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
