Gary Lynn Davis Obituary (1950 - 2011)

Mr. Gary Lynn Davis, 60, of Madisonville, KY, died at 6:36 A.M., Monday, August 15th 2011 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ He was born December 20, 1950 in Madisonville, to the late Ernest Davis and Dorothy Hicks Davis. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Sue Hunt and Theresa Ann Thomas and one brother, Ernest Daniel Davis Jr. \ He was an electrician for the City of Madisonville. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #6 in Madisonville and he was also a Mason. \ He is survived by three daughters, Tessa Simmons of Madisonville, Ashley Davis and Desiree Davis both of Daniels, WV; one son, Christopher Shawn Davis of Madisonville; one sister, Sharon L. Walker of Madisonville; two brothers, Edward D. Davis of Mortons Gap, KY and David B. Davis of Dawson Springs, KY; one grandson, James Simmons; one granddaughter, Taylor Simmons both of Madisonville; one great grandchild, Elaina Simmons of Madisonville and several nieces and nephews. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 12 noon until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. \ Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard. \
