Gertrude Kathleen Lail Obituary (1924 - 2010)

Mrs. Gertrude Kathleen Lail, 85, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:55 P.M., Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ She was born October 29, 1924 in Lenoir City, TN to the late Pharley Gatewood and Artie Porter Sexton. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Lail, Sr. (1994); one son, James Lail (2008) and one sister, Gladys Sexton Costner (2006). \ Mrs. Lail was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville. \ She retired from Trover Clinic after 22 years of service. She also volunteered for Regional Medical Center. \ She is survived by two daughters, Teri (Eddie) Link of Slaughters and Marilyn (Chris) Rickard of Madisonville; two sons, Charles E. (Margie) Lail, Jr. of Madisonville and John P. (Karynn) Lail of Madisonville; eights grandchildren, Brad Link, Shawn Link, Brian Lail, Leigh Lail, Jonathan Lail, Temesia Purdue, Jason Rickard, and Kristie Sutton and twenty great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Lail officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the First Baptist Church in Madisonville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
