Imogene "Jean" Ferrell Obituary (1928 - 2017)

Imogene 'Jean' Ferrell, 89 of Owensboro, KY formerly of Madisonville, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Wellington Parc in Owensboro. She was born March 4, 1928, in Butler Co., KY to the late Fred Cartwright and Rosa Davis Cartwright. She was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Mrs. Ferrell was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church in Owensboro where she enjoyed singing in the choir and she enjoyed sewing. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Leonard Ferrell of Owensboro; one daughter, Jennifer Williams of Owensboro; a son, Gregg (Kathy) Ferrell of Henderson, KY, six grandchildren, Lisa DeLano of Nebo, KY, Adam Williams of Owensboro, Allison Ford of Madisonville, Tammi Brown of Owensboro, Jeff Page of Morganfield, KY and Julie McDonald of Henderson; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday January 3, 2018, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Shoulta officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday January 3, 2018, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Delano, Adam Williams, Josh DeLano, Eric DeLano, Duke Oates and Ron McElrary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
