Ivy Cleveland Winstead Obituary (1931 - 2011)

Ivy Cleveland Winstead of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, September 12, 2011, at Vanderbilt University Hospital. \ He was born in Madisonville, KY to the late Herman Winstead and Bonnie Stodgill Winstead. \ Mr. Winstead retired from Peabody Coal and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Earlington and the American Legion. \ He is survived by his wife, Jewel Dean Blake Winstead; one daughter, Dana (Steve) Strohmier of Jefferson City, MO; one son, Ivy Craig (Shari) Winstead of Madisonville; and four grandchildren, Erin Winstead of Lexington, KY, and Ashley, Blair, and Mitchell Strohmier , all of Jefferson City. \ Graveside service will be held the morning of Friday, September 16, 2011, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY with Rev. Greg Gaddis officiating. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday with Masonic Rites taking place at 6:00 P.M. \ Pallbearers will be Alan Cheek, Perry Cheek, Steve Strohmier, Mitchell Strohmier, Blair Strohmier, and Larry Goetz, and the honorary pallbearers will be Erin Winstead and Ashley Strohmier. \ Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society at 319 Dulin Street, Madisonville, KY 42431. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
