J.P. Brown Obituary (1922 - 2015)

\ J.P. Brown, 93, of Madisonville passed away Thursday April 16, 2015 while visiting his son in Greenville, SC. \ \ Mr. Brown was born March 27, 1922 in Muhlenberg Co., KY to the late Pete Brown. He was also preceded death by his wife, Doris Mallory Brown. \ \ J.P. was a farmer and loved going to church. He was a member of the Wild Flower Club of Madisonville and he enjoyed going to the farmers market. \ \ He is survived by, 5 step-children, Laura Brister of Henderson, KY, Wilma Pollard of Madisonville, Kenneth Mallory of Madisonville, Judy Shemwell of Madisonville and Tad Mallory of Greenville, SC; one sister, Martha McDowell of Old Hickory, TN several grandchildren and great grandchildren. \ \ Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. \ \ Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. \ \ Pallbearers will be Tad Mallory, Zack Mallory, Jeff Vandiver, Miriam Todd, David Brister, and Clint Gipson. \ \
