Jean Arnold Prow Obituary (1929 - 2016)

Mrs. Jean Arnold Prow, 87 of Madisonville, KY passed away Tuesday September 27, 2016 at home with Hospice. Born August 16, 1929, in Hopkins Co., she was the youngest daughter of the late Gus. F. and Helon Fowler. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her late husband, James E. " Jimmy" Arnold and by her brother Berl Fowler, sisters, Thella Jackson, Mae Daley, and Edith Thomas. She is survived by her husband, James Prow, and two daughters, Gayla Darling of Montgomery, Texas and Terri Messenger (Steve) of Driftwood, Texas. She has five grandchildren and six great grands. She is also loved by many nieces, nephews and their children. Her oldest sister, Sarah Timberlake lives in Louisville. Mrs. Prow was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville and the Upper Room Sunday school class. She retired from the Kentucky Department of Education. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday September 29, 2016 at Barnett Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Carden officiating. Viewing will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday and from 10:00 A.M. Thursday until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY. Memories may be made to Madisonville First Methodist Church Sanctuary Remodeling Fund.
