Jewell Duncan Obituary (1908 - 2007)

The Lord brought Jewell Duncan into the world on April 29, 1908 and called her home on April 29, 2007. \ She was born in Nebo, KY, to the late James Arthur Crowe and Mary Cecil Kirkwood Crowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Noble Duncan, on July 14, 1966. \ She owned and operated Duncans Drive-In after her husband passed away. She attended Cave Springs General Baptist Church in Mattoon, KY. \ Mrs. Duncan is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara Trowbridge of Sturgis, KY, Celia & C. J. Gooch of Grand Rivers, KY, and Susan & Keith Nichols of Madisonville; one son and daughter-in-law, George Buddy& Shigeko Duncan of Cheyenne, WY; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. J. T. Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. until the service time on Thursday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Hospice of your choice. \ Online condolences may be made at www.barnettstrother.com. \
