Kenneth C. Day Obituary (1934 - 2008)

Mr. Kenneth C. Day, 74, of Madisonville, KY died at 7:30 A.M. Saturday, June 14, 2008 at his home. \ Born June 6, 1934 in Hopkins County, KY he was the son of the late Homer Day and Margie Agnes Owen Day. \ He was a police officer for the Madisonville Police Department for 18 years and the first president of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a member of the Madisonville First General Baptist Church. \ He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Peggy L. Day of Madisonville; three daughters and sons-in-law; Denise D. and Sal Torrisi of The Woodlands, TX, Angela and Dennis Mitchell of Madisonville and Betty L. and Rocky Adcock of Earlington; one son and daughter-in-law, David W. and Kathy Day of Mortons Gap, KY; one son-in-law, Kevin W. Doane of Slaughters, KY; one sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Bobby Starks of Madisonville; one granddaughter, Kassidy Day of Madisonville; four grandsons; Paul and Christopher Torrisi of The Woodland, Blake Mitchell of Madisonville and Ryan Doane of Slaughters; two step grandsons, James Paul Lovan of Mortons Gap and Rocky Lee Adcock of Earlington. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Sellers officiating. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the service at the funeral home.
