Lanny Bruce Hillyard Obituary (1946 - 2010)

Mr. Lanny Bruce Hillyard, 63, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 6:00 A.M., Monday, January 25, 2010 at his residence in Madisonville. \ He was born June 16, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Lawrence H. and Ruth Helen Mariman Hillyard. \ Mr. Hillyard was a member and founding deacon of Park Avenue Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #143 of Madisonville. \ He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Hillyard of Madisonville; two daughters, Holly Michelle (John) McCord of Kansas City, MO and Heather Marie (Kevin) Schreiner of Madisonville; seven grandchildren, John Casey McCord, Sawyer Jacob Kyle, Luke Marshall McCord, Madelin Grace Kyle, Emily Marie McCord, Taylor Renee Schreiner and Zachary Allen Schreiner. \ Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic rights will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday. \ Pallbearers will be John McCord, Kevin Schreiner, Sawyer Kyle, Chad Latham, Jimmy Latham, Raymond Latham, Jamie Woodruff and Dwight Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey McCord, Luke McCord, Zach Schreiner, Charlie Burgett and Charlie Oldham. \ Memorial contributions may be made to the Park Ave. Baptist Church, the Faith Baptist Building Fund or Gideons International. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
