Launa \Lou\"" Houston Obituary (1955 - 2007)

Dr. Launa Lou Houston, 52, of Madisonville, KY, died at 7:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Regional Medical Center Emergency Room in Madisonville. \ Born May 7, 1955 in Hazard, KY she was the daughter of the late William Ralph Houston and Polly Anna Combs Houston. \ She was a Psychologist for the Pennyroyal Mental Health Center and attended the First Presbyterian Church. \ She is survived by her caregiver, Kerney Thomas of Madisonville; two sisters, Alice Nichols of Cynthiana, KY and Zola Wilcox of Nicholasville, KY and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rob Wilson officiating. Burial will follow Monday at 1:00 P.M. in the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY. Pallbearers will be her family. \ Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the services on Sunday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.
