Lottie Clyda Franklin Walker Obituary (1924 - 2018)

Lottie Clyda Franklin Walker, 94 of Madisonville, KY passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Brighton Cornerstone in Madisonville. She was born September 17, 1924 in Dalton, KY to the late Clyde Edward Franklin and Lena Halsie Peyton Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lawrence Walker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Madisonville since 1963. She loved her grandchildren, crafting, and gospel music. She was also a teachers aide for Special Education at Pride Elementary for many years. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Conners of Vincennes, IN, Bonnie (Hayes) Kington of Madisonville, and Brenda (Bob) Guess of Marion, KY; seven grandchildren, James W. (Jo Ellen) Murphree, Casey (Shonda) Murphree, Elizabeth Batsel, Bryan (Denise) Guess, Bradley Guess, Sarah (Jed) Kington Tyson, and Ellen Kington; great grandchildren, Lauren Murphree, Ashley, Murphree, Emma Murphree, Reed Tyson, Leif Curtis, Blake Curtis, Jessica Adams, Erika Adams, and Ryan Adams; and two great great grandchildren, Colton and Kylee Nelson. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, November 16, 2018 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Lon Lorton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Murphree, Casey Murphree, Bryan Guess, Bradley Guess, Larry Holmes, and Kiah Winstead. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Cullen, Thomas Cullen, Dale Cullen, and Jimmy Cullen. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building/Maintenance Fund or Jack's Place Animal Rescue. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
