Lucille \Mama Ceal\"" Cardwell Obituary (1915 - 2008)

\ Mrs. Lucille Mama Ceal Cardwell, 92, of Madisonville, KY died at 2:10 A.M. April 2, 2008 at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born September 6, 1915 in Hopkins County, KY she was the daughter of the late Finis Murphey and Mattie Mae Hanner Murphey. She was preceded in death by her husband. W.R. Ray Cardwell; one sister, Laura Ethel Allison and one brother, Hammack Murphey. \ She was a homemaker and the founder of Anton Homemakers. She was a member of the Bethlehem Christian Church and a member of the Churchs Ladies Aid. She was past president of several P.T.A.s and for many years was a member of the Hopkins County Fair Board. She was the recipient of the Madisonville Lions Club Woman of the Year and a Master Farmer Homemaker of the Year. \ She is survived by one daughter, Betsy Sellers of Madisonville; three sons, Bill Cardwell, Holeman Cardwell and Coleman Cardwell, all of Madisonville; one niece locally, Lisa Stanley of Madisonville; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Tim Mason, Minister and Bro. Sam Beeny officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. \ Friends may callfrom 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the service. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Bethlehem Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
