Muriel E. Burden Obituary (1925 - 2009)

Mrs. Muriel Elizabeth Morris Burden, age 84 Oneida, TN formerly of Madisonville, KY passed away Friday, October 9, 2009 in Oneida. \ Born in Hopkins County, KY on February 23, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Everett and Ruth Fork Morris. \ She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Evansville, IN. Mrs. Burden was a 56 year member of Eastern Star Cynthiana Lodge # 445 \ In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Burden; son, Steve Burden; sister, Helen Oglesby; brother, Larry Morris. \ Muriel is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Sandy) Friend Blevins and husband Ron of Oneida; granddaughters, Paige Jones and husband Ron and Kadra Hall and husband Johnny all of Harriman, TN; grandsons, Scott Blevins of Cape May, NJ, Shaun Burden and Joshua Burden both of Evansville, IN; great-grandchildren, Peyton Jones, Kaley Jones, Katie Hall, and Keaton Hall; She leaves other relatives and friends. \ Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville, KY with Bro. Bobby Cox officiating. There will also be an Eastern Star service following the funeral service. \ Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Mausoleum in Madisonville, KY. \ Friends may visit with the Burden family on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ Memorial donations may be made to: Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center Activity Fund \ c/o Angie Chitwood \ P.O.
