Onie Mae Cornell Obituary (1939 - 2018)

Onie Mae Cornell, 79 of Nortonville, KY passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her residence. She was born July 7, 1939 in White City, KY to the late Felix Littlepage 'Papa Tom' and Nevaline 'Granny Bill' Mannanhan. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, LaVona Duncan and LaVeda Hawkins; grandson, William Clayton Duncan; one sister, and four brothers. She was a member of the New Abundant Life Fellowship Church. She loved the Lord, her family and her Church. Her passion in life was to teach children about Jesus and his salvation. Her life was devoted to God and pleasing him. She loved to play with her Grandkids, sew and do crafts. She felt if she lead one soul to salvation her life was complete. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clayton 'Bogie' Cornell; one daughter, LaVena (Tim) Cavanaugh of Nortonville; one sister, June Overton of Crofton, KY; five brothers, Lum (Lewanda) Littlepage of Nortonville, Dickie (Janie) Littlepage of Drakesboro, KY, Larry (Ruth) Littlepage of Nortonville, Pedie (Brenda) Littlepage of Nortonville, and Mikey Littlepage of Madisonville; five grandchildren Jonathon (Chrissy) Duncan, Nicholas Hawkins, Samantha (Matthew) Ramsey, TJ Cavanaugh, and Whitley Nicole Larkins.; and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Payne officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday and from 8:30 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
