Perry Brown Jr. Obituary (1931 - 2005)

Mr. Perry Brown Jr., 74, of Beulah, KY died at 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2005 at his home. \ Born February 3, 1931 in Beulah he was the son of the late Perry Jefferson Brown and Annie Della Franklin Brown. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Lois Pleasant, three brothers, Garland Brown, Frank Brown and Gene Brown and one half-brother, Allen Morse. \ He was a member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church, he operated Brown Strip Mine, was a Korean War Army Veteran and a member of Beulah Masonic Lodge #609 F.&A.M., where he was a chaplain, and a Past Master. \ He is survived by his wife, Dorcas Buchanan Brown; one daughter, Renee Dugger of Newburgh, IN and two grandchildren, Adam and Aaron Dugger of Newburgh. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Lantrip officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Cemetery. \ Friends may call from 1:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:00 A.M. Monday until the services at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be conducted by Beulah Masonic Lodge #609 F.& A.M. at 3:00 P.M. Sunday. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Green River Hospice, 109 S. 2nd St Central City, KY 42330 or Richland Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 7035 Beulah Road, Madisonville, KY 42431. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
