R. L. Duncan Obituary (1917 - 2008)

Mr. R. L. Duncan, 90, of Madisonville, KY, died at 8:45 P.M. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Brighton Cornerstone Nursing Home in Madisonville. \ Born May 14, 1917 in Manitou, KY. He was the son of the late Roy L. Duncan and Hallie Walls Duncan. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Harris. \ Mr. Duncan was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder and had been the head usher for over 40 years. He had worked for several car dealerships as a salesman and had last worked at Wal-Mart. \ Surviving are his wife, Jean Poole Duncan; three daughters, Keela Troop, Debbi Fabia and Jennifer Stuart, all of Madisonville; one sister, Betty Workman of Hopkinsville, KY; one brother, Rev. C. W. Duncan of Greenville, KY; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 6, 2008, at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Pallbearers will be Tony Stuart, Romeo Fabia, Bill Troop, Scott Troop, Bill Oldham and Dennis Duncan. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after Noon Sunday. \
