Rev. Floyd C. Parrish Obituary (1925 - 2005)

Rev. Floyd C. Parrish, 79, of Crofton, KY died at 11:30 A.M. Sunday, May 8, 2005, at his home. \ Born June 11, 1925 in Double Springs, AL, he was the son of the late Joseph Wood Parrish and Daisy Deloris Henson Parrish. He was also preceded by his wife Bertha Parrish in 1999, two sisters, Imogene Pendergrass and Wilma Avans and two brothers, Joe Parrish Jr. and Leon Parrish. \ Rev. Parrish was a licensed minister of Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ, a member of Praise Temple in Madisonville, KY, and a Navy veteran of World War II having served on the USS Piedmont. \ Surviving are four daughters, Judy Loeise Hensley of Portage, IN, Marilyn Jane Latham of Crofton, Sheila Gail Erway of Knox, IN and Angela Faith Stewart of Lake Station, IN; one son, Floyd Eddie Parrish of Cadiz, KY; one sister, Millie Brewer of Winchester, TN; two brothers, Verlon Parrish of Section, AL and Melvin Parrish of Bridgeport, AL; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Praise Temple with Rev. Richard Sisk officiating. Burial will be in Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton. \ Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and after 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Praise Temple. \ Military graveside services will be conducted by local Christian County and Trigg County Veterans organizations. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Praise Temple. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
