Rev. Marlin Ray Parkest Obituary (1921 - 2007)

Rev. Marlin Ray Parkest, 86, of Poplar Bluff, MO and formerly of Madisonville, KY, died at 12:38 A.M. Monday, May 28, 2007, at Cedar Gate Nursing Home in Poplar Bluff. \ Born May 16, 1921 in Hopkins Co., KY. He was the son of Albert Loily Parkest and Effie Lee Yarbrough Parkest. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bess Marie Rodgers Parkest, on January 11, 2005. \ Rev. Parkest was the former Superintendent of the Madisonville Street Department and had pastored at several churches. He was a World War II Army veteran. \ He is survived by one daughter, Pat Ancell of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Beatrice Mae Adams of Madisonville; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. \ Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M.
