Ruth Jane Farris Obituary (1921 - 2011)

Mrs. Ruth Jane Farris 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 5:42 A.M. Sunday January 9, 2011 at the Hillside Villa Care & Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville. \ She was born February 1, 1921 in Saline Co., IL to the late Bedford Smith and Nellie Kennedy Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard William Farris, one brother, Samuel Smith and two sisters, Lorene Shelton and Opal Pemberton. \ Mrs. Farris was a member of the Spring Valley Methodist Church in Saline Co., IL. \ She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Jane (Hillus) Camplin of St. Charles, KY; three sons, Daniel (Debra) Farris of Naples FL, Tony (Ruth) Farris of Madisonville and Benny (Anna) Farris of Florida; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. \ Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Rickard officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday and 12:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. \
