Samuel H. Finney Obituary (1949 - 2006)

Mr. Samuel H. Finney, 57, of Seminole, FL, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at his residence. \ Born December 4, 1949, in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Harold Ivan Finney and JoNell Beard Finney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sam Beard. \ He had worked for Island Creek Coal Company Mine #1 in Providence, KY, as a chief preparation foreman. After leaving Madisonville, he founded Atelier Oriental Rugs in Louisville. \ Mr. Finney is survived by a son, Joshua S. Finney of San Cruz, CA, and a sister, Patricia F. Singer of Atlanta, GA. \ Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, from noon until the service time at the funeral home. \
