Sherrie Pamela Oglesby Obituary (1947 - 2015)

Sherrie Pamela Oglesby, 68, of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Oglesby was born March 6, 1947 in Madisonville, to the late Ralph Troop and Elizabeth Rickard Jackson. She formerly worked at Trover Clinic in Earlington, KY and was a teachers aide at Earlington Elementary School in the 1980's. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband Ron "Butch" Oglesby; one son, Chris (Lorie) Oglesby of White Plains, KY; two sisters, Sandy (Harry) DeBandi of Madisonville, and Debbie Troop; one brother, Troy (Pat) Jackson, of Niagara, KY; one grandchild, Harper Oglesby of White Plains; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Lail officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
