Stephen Wayne Ayer Obituary (1950 - 2011)

Stephen Wayne Ayer, 60, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at his residence. \ He was born May 27, 1950, in Hartford, KY to the late Arthur B. Ayer, Jr. and Frances (Gwen) Shultz Ayer of Hartford. \ Mr. Ayer was Director of Security at Regional Medical Center as well as worship leader for Hope Alive at First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. He was also very involved in the Great Banquet Community. \ In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Vicky Lynn Ayer of Madisonville; one daughter, Barbara Ann (Daniel Scott) Neal of Owensboro, KY; one son, Donovan (Cara) Ayer of Silverdale, WA; one sister, Cathy (Daniel) Neal of Hartford, KY; one brother, Jim (Anita) Ayer of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Tiffaney Mayes, Kelsey Ayer and Aidan Neal; one great grandson, Carson Mayes. \ Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Madisonville with Rev. Weyman McGuire and Rev. Ken Hundley officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. \ Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. \ In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Youth Ministries at the 1st United Methodist Church in Madisonville. \
