Sylvia C. Davis Obituary (1939 - 2007)

Mrs. Sylvia C. Davis, 68, of Hanson, KY, died Saturday, January 27, 2007, at 6:35 P.M., at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. \ Born January 17, 1939, in West Palm Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Orville Wright Davis and Mildred Sue Green Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Neal Davis, on January 29, 2000. \ She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Madisonville and had worked in the lunchroom at Browning Springs for over 25 years. \ Mrs. Davis is survived by a daughter, Tammy Barron of Madisonville; two sons, Gary Davis of Slaughters, KY, and Scott Davis of Ramona, CA, and three grandchildren, Annabelle Davis, Jonathan Davis and Josh Barron. \ Funeral services will be graveside on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at 11:00 A.M., at Hanson Cemetery in Hanson, KY, with her nephew, Matt Davis officiating. \ Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2007, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Mahr Cancer Center or the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
