Thelma Louise Coffman Obituary (1915 - 2007)

Mrs. Thelma Coffman, 92, of Madisonville, KY, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at 11:00 P.M., at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ Born January 1, 1915, in Madisonville, she was the daughter of the late Pearl Chester Williams and Adeline Nettie Miller Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Glenn Coffman in 1967; a son, Edward Glenn Coffman Jr. and two brothers, John Edmund Williams and Emil Johnson Williams. \ She attended Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church in Slaughters, KY; was Department Manager for many years at Baker & Hickman; was a professional seamstress and prolific needle point artist, having held shows at the Madisonville Library and the Fine Arts Center. \ Mrs. Coffman is survived by a son, Malcolm A. Coffman of Dixon, KY; a sister, Elvira Timmons of Madisonville; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Alec Hensley and Judge Donnie Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Sunday from noon until the service time at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Coomes, Russell Marks, Brian Stull, Jim Brown, Jimmy Knox, Tom Coffman, Greg Mills, and Scott Smith. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church Building Fund or the Mahr Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
