Thelma \Tippie\"" Louise Kyle Lowe Obituary (1923 - 2009)

Mrs. Thelma Tippie Louise Kyle Lowe of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:15 A.M., Monday, June 29, 2009 at her daughters residence in Madisonville. She was called home to be with the Lord and will be sitting in her swing on the front porch of her new home waiting for family, friends and pets. For Thelma Tippie, she never met a stranger. \ She was born August 5, 1923 to the late Archie and Hattie (Blades) Rhye of Madisonville. She retired from the Hopkins County Hospital, Central Supply Department. She served as an active board member of Pet Lovers United, Inc., of Hopkins County and an animal rescuer of homeless and unwanted animals due to the love for animals and her granddaughter, Belinda Beth. \ She was of Christian faith and last attended Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Hanson, KY, whom she loved its Pastor, Bro. Gary Taylor. \ She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Roy Earl Kyle, second husband Dorsey Frazier Lowe, two infant brothers, two brothers, Robert Earl Rhye of Mortons Gap and James Franklin Boogie Rhye of Madisonville, one grandson, James David Adcock, Jr. of Madisonville and son-in-law whom she loved as a son, James David Ad-Dad Adcock, Sr. of Madisonville. \ She is survived by one daughter and caregiver, Fran Tootsie (late David Ad-Dad) Adcock of Madisonville; one son, Bill (Barbara) Kyle of Madisonville; grandchildren, great grandchildren; great great grandchild; one sister, Delores (Clifton) Tomes of Sauk Village, IL; one brother, William Elvis Pete (Ruth) Rhye of Pulaski, TN; two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Rhye of Nortonville and Pearl Rhye of Madisonville; nieces and nephew, her best friend, Mrs. Elizabeth Gray and by all the precious friends of nurses and staff at Green River Hospice and NHC Nursing Home and Medical Center Ambulance whom helped care for her, transported her day after day, provided smiles, waves, hugs and kisses, kept her updated and visits from their children and showered her with gifts of personal jewelry they wore to work that day as her departure grew closer, nurses, cnas and Doctors Henson, Hanke and King from Regional Medical Center that gave her kindness and months longer with her daughter, granddaughter and her special friend Ms. Elizabeth. \ Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Sisk officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ Pallbearers will be Keith Curneal, Scott Tomblingson, Danny Alvey, Timmy Moore, Barry Vannoy and Wesley Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Spriggs and Monte Workman. \
