Thomas \TJ\"" Joel Owen Walters Obituary (1956 - 2014)

\ Thomas 'T.J.' Joel Owen Walters, 57, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. \ \ He was born April 9, 1956 to the late Jackson Bernard and Emma Mae Detraz Walters. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nanette Hendrix Walters; four half brothers and two half sisters. \ \ Mr. Walters was a member of the American Legion Post #6, VFW and the Madisonville Elks Lodge #738. He was also a mason in the Scottish Right and a Shriner. \ \ He is survived by one daughter, Stacee (Mark) Helton of East Praire, MO; four sisters, Bettye Wilson of Foley, AL, Emma (Jim) McBride of Cadiz, KY, Daphne (Donald) Littlepage of Newburg, IN and Rebecca Ann Walters of Madisonville; three half sisters, Margaret Pryor of Henderson, KY, Shirley Walters Newman of Chandler, IN and Janice Miller Newburg; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. \ \ A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Covenant Community Church in Madisonville with Rev. Michael Knight officiating. \ \ Memorial contributions can be made to Tri-state Christmas Program at Covenant Community Church. Envelopes will be made available at the church. \ \
