Virginia Price Ashmore Obituary (1912 - 2007)

Mrs. Virginia Price Ashmore, 94, of Madisonville, KY, died at 5:27 A.M. Friday, March 9, 2007, at Nortons Hospital in Louisville, KY. \ Born August 31, 1912, in Barlow, KY, she was the daughter of the late W.P. Price and Virginia M. Wyatt Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Ashmore and her son, Jim Ashmore. \ She was a member of the First Christian Church of Madisonville where she was also a choir member. She was a charter member of the Highland Garden Club. \ Mrs. Ashmore is survived by her daughters, Ginny Barnhart of Lexington, KY, and Barbara Ashmore of Madisonville; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Monday, March 12, 2007 at the First Christian Church in Madisonville with Rev. Don McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the service time Monday at the church. \ Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ben Ashmore, Keith Ashmore, David Barnhart, Will Barnhart, Robert Barnhart and Michael Barnhart. \ Honorary pallbearer will be her granddaughters, Sarah Witt and Ginny Ashmore. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the First Christian Church. \ Online condolences may be made at www.barnettstrother.com. \
