William \Bill\"" Uzzle Obituary (1939 - 2012)

\ William Bill Uzzle, 72, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Hillside Villa Nursing Home in Madisonville. \ \ He was born August 28, 1939 in Hopkins County to the late Arvel Uzzle, Sr. and Guy Eula Davis. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Uzzle, and one brother, Arvel Uzzle, Jr. \ \ Mr. Uzzle was a Kentucky Colonel, retired from the city of Madisonville after 43 years of service in the Water Department. He loved to fish, hunt, spend time outdoors, watch his great-granddaughter play softball, his dog, Izzie, and watch his grandson race. \ \ He was survived by one daughter, Kim Brashear of Madisonville; one son, Jeff (Missy) Uzzle of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Kristy (Jason) Patterson and Dustin (Shawna) Brashear; and two great grandchildren, Courtney and Kendall Patterson. \ \ Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 24, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Elder Charles DeMoss officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens \ \ Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. until the service time on Thursday at the funeral home. \ \ Pallbearers will be Floyd Hancock, Bobby Cunningham, Steve Taylor, Ivan Jessup, Mark Minton, and Jackie Pearce. \ \ Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home. \ \
