William R. \Billy Ray\"" Nance Obituary (1944 - 2012)

William R. 'Billy Ray' Nance, 68, of Madisonville, KY passed away Saturday, December 22nd, 2012 at his lakehouse in Kuttawa, KY. \ He was born March 14, 1944 in Onton, KY to the late William B. and Dora Nance. He was also preceded by one sister, Pandora Nance. \ Mr. Nance was a retired railroad engineer and a member of Elks #738. He was an avid UK fan, fisherman and golfer, and also bought and sold golf carts. \ He is survived by his significant other, Dawn Fox, of Madisonville; one daughter, Kelly Hawkins of Madisonville; one son, Jon Nance of Madisonville; one sister, Vicki Boles of Onton; two brothers, Benjamin Nance of North Carolina and Kenneth Nance of Madisonville; eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday December 27th, 2012 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Ron Peaveyhouse officiating. Burial will follow in Onton Cemetery in Onton. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Tim E. Hawkins, Travis Dunlap, Jon Garrett, Ronnie Coffman, Ron Miller, Dickie Pendley, Todd Cruse and Tommy Almon. \ Memorial contributions may be made to the BPOE #738. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home. \
