Dorcas Brown Obituary (1935 - 2016)

Alsie Dorcas Brown joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 18th. She was a lifelong resident of the Beulah community, a member of Richland Baptist Church and a long term member of the local TOPS organization. She was known as a kind and gentle soul, always a giver, never a taker. She was an excellent seamstress, wonderful cook, beloved school bus driver and adored Grandmama by her two grandsons. Psalms 15 beautifully describes her and her quiet and consistent walk with God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Brown Jr.; her parents F. D. and Lena Buchanan; her sister Agnes Hancock and her Grandson, Adam Dugger. Dorcas Brown is survived by her daughter, Renee Dugger; her son-in-law, David Dugger her grandson, Aaron (Natalie) Dugger and grand-daughter-in-law Kelly Dugger. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Richland Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Lantrip officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home and from 10:30 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Richland Missionary Baptist Church, 7035 Beulah Road, Madisonville, KY 42431. . Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
