Alvis Harold Cobb Jr. Obituary (1956 - 2016)

Alvis Harold Cobb Jr., 60, of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Harold was born June 3, 1956 in Madisonville to the late Alvis Harold Cobb Sr. and Joy Daves Cobb. He worked as a coal miner for years. He attended First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Lakeshore Country Club, loved to play golf, and fish. He loved sports, especially U.K. basketball. He is survived by his wife, Kim Cobb of Madisonville; one daughter, Taylor Cobb of Madisonville; one step-son, Andrew Scott of Madisonville and two brothers, Terry (Tressa) Cullen of Madisonville and Donnie Cullen of Madisonville. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Hundley officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
